01 — Get data in

Create calculations instantly across a full data set and see the resulting values as you type. Reformat data, extract embedded values, and test and edit regular expressions interactively.
Organize and analyze data by groups of records. Summarize groups to generate statistics, or keep the detail records together to identify duplicates and find groups that meet your criteria.
Interactively combine data from different files. Hook them together, drag columns from one into the other, then compare across related files and find matching records.
03 — Report and extend
An answer on your screen is only half the job. Reporting and scripting close the loop.
Develop reports directly from local files, database systems, or web data. Flip between page and template views as you design, and save to PDF. Creating a report is as simple as using a spreadsheet.
Tabular IQ includes a data-enabled version of JavaScript with built-in support for SQL and other data manipulation functions. Write new extensions or plug in existing ones built by the community.
